Temple Guiting

Church of England School

Everyone to thrive

Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers,

Temple Guiting Church of England school is a small village school nestled in the beautiful Cotswold countryside. We are privileged to have some of the most amazing rural views and our unique setting is just one of the ways our school is special and highly valued by our pupils, parents and our local community.

At Temple Guiting Church of England School, we consider ourselves one of the best primary schools in the North Cotswolds area. We aim to provide a safe, caring, happy and stimulating learning environment where everyone’s contribution is valued. All the members of our school community are encouraged to develop their full potential. We work as a team to provide a balanced and relevant curriculum, where all our children have equal access and individual needs are met.

We believe all children should be given the opportunity to build their confidence and self-esteem. Celebrating and rewarding success and effort in all aspects of school life are essential features of our school. It is vital to equip our children with all the skills necessary for them to become thoughtful, hardworking, considerate and well-motivated citizens of the future as they move through primary school and onto the secondary phase of their education.

Our OFSTED inspection in April 2023  judged good:

Staff and pupils at Temple Guiting say it is like a big family. Pupils live out the school’s values very well, treating each other with sincere respect, courtesy and care. Parents comment positively about the school and the way pupils treat one another. Teachers’ high expectations mean that pupils have positive attitudes to learning. Pupils try their best and express pride in their work.

February 2018 judged Temple Guiting:

“A good school … which parents recognise that the school provides a good, well-rounded education with rich experiences that go beyond academic success. One parent’s comment was typical of many: ‘The staff and leadership team model teamwork and a family Christian ethos that helps children of all ages to care for and work with one another.’”

This was reinforced in our  SIAMS Report in May 2019:

“Temple Guiting is ‘thriving’ as a learning community built on love... The core value of respect is central to the new behavioural policy. The vision of everyone thriving is indeed lived out to the full. ”

It is very important for prospective parents to visit our school to assess the learning opportunities we offer and experience the atmosphere of Temple Guiting Church of England School. To visit please call Rosie Green, our Office Manager on
