What does the School Council do?

Our School Council are here to make sure that all of the children in our school are happy! We represent the views of all pupils and work together to improve our school.

We ask questions to our class mates and record any concerns, worries, changes or enhancements other children would like to be shared in the next school council meeting to ensure all children’s voices are heard.

In November 2017  we launched  our School council, partly as a key section of our support for the 'British Values' of democracy, freedom of expression, tolerance and the rule of law, but mainly as an effective way of helping our young learners to have a voice as to how their school is governed and the future direction it will take.

Our members of the school council were voted in by their peers and we now have 13 members of our council. We meet every two weeks to discuss important issues and put forward ideas on how to improve our school.

If you have any ideas or anything you would like us to talk about at our next meeting, please let your class councillor know.

You can also keep up to date with events and information by looking at the school councillors noticeboard located in the playground on the Class 3 wall opposite the entrance to our Reception class.

Please visit this page again to see how we are getting on.
