KS1 Teacher - Maternity Cover

We are looking to recruit a class teacher to work within our dedicated and passionate teaching team.  We are a small rural Church school that is big on heart and big on ambition. Our motto is “Everyone to thrive and learn to live life to the full”.  You will be a central part of this vision and we will want you to thrive as well as the children. We will expect you deliver high quality lessons that meet the educational needs of the children, ensuring outstanding learning and teaching and progress. We are looking for an organised and inspiring teacher who will be required to teach a small class of 21 Year 1 + 2 children. You will have the support of school whole school team and a very supportive set of Governors and parents. We are in in this together to ensure our pupils have the best experience at school. All our teachers strive to  inspire the children they  work with,  teach great lessons and   make children think, investigate and question-  this is what makes our school a wonderful place to work in. You will be expected to be sympathetic to our Christian ethos and be willing to lead at least 1  curriculum subject area. This is a full time maternity cover post starting from February 28th for up to one year or until the teacher returns. There will be the possibility of  a part time post when the class teacher returns subject to discussion at that time. After School Club Leader

We are looking to recruit an After School Club Lead - part time 17 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks per year) as part of our dedicated staff team.  We are a small rural Church school that is big on heart and big on ambition. Our motto is “Everyone to thrive and learn to live life to the full”.  You will be a central part of this vision and we will want you to thrive as well as the children. The working hours are 3.00 – 6pm Monday to Friday with 2 hours non-contact time.   We are looking for a self-motivated, dedicated and dynamic individual who shares our vision for outstanding practice to join our setting.   The successful candidate will: - Take the lead in setting up and managing  the After School - Be an excellent play-worker with experience of working with 4–11 year-olds - Be the Safeguarding Lead for the provision and oversee Health & Safety – we are happy to train you in this area. - Have excellent communication skills and enthusiasm - Ensure the smooth running of setting and provide opportunities for children’s development and learning through planning creative and engaging sessions - Be responsible for record keeping of attendance and liaising with the  School admin team - Good IT skills   The role involves the delivery of a range of activities within a safe and stimulating environment, in accordance with policies and procedures, EYFS Statutory Framework (September 2021) OFSTED inspection framework (September 2021) and the Children Acts of 1989 and 2004.   1 year’s experience in working with children is desirable and training can be provided. A level 2 or  3 qualification in childcare and/or play work is required.
